Request an Application ID

To get started with TMM API integration, the first step is to obtain an Application ID for your application. To do so, please submit a request to geospatial_tech_partners@trimble.com with the following details:

  • Company name: e.g., MyCompany
  • Application name (in stores): e.g., MyCompany Utility
  • Application name (on device): e.g., Utility
  • Application description: e.g., A utility for placing markers on powerlines by supplying high-accuracy GPS location data.
  • Platforms: e.g., Android, iOS, Windows
  • Package name: e.g., com.mycompany.utility
  • Technical POC: e.g., jane.smith@mycompany.com, Jane Smith
  • Domain Link: e.g., https://mycompany.com/

We endeavor to respond within two business days.

Reading location data

Location data is streamed to calling applications over WebSocket interfaces.

Partners integrating on Android can also elect to receive locations using the Android Location API. Locations provided by Trimble Mobile Manager will include extra metadata specific to Trimble devices in the location extras.
