The root union type encompassing all SketchUp objects you can query, reference, or manipulate through the API.
Entity includes both visible geometry (DrawingElement types like
edges, faces, and groups) and non-geometric objects (materials, scenes, tags,
textures, styles, vertices, and curves). You’ll encounter Entity when working
with broad object queries or when API methods return mixed types — for
example, performOperation callbacks receive an entity helper that works
with any Entity type.
Each member of this union is a read-only snapshot of that object at the time
it was fetched. To narrow an Entity to a specific type, check its type
property against SketchupEntityEnum.
